To All KFHA Members:
The KFHA has been contacted by a private firm, Community Association Preservation and Stabilization Services, LLC (CAPS), and they have offered to file tax appeals with the Miami-Dade County Valuation Adjustment Board for Kendall Federation Communities at no cost to the Associations. If the Board of Directors of a Kendall Federation Community votes to appoint CAPS as their agent, CAPS will file an appeal on behalf of each homeowner. CAPS will be responsible for the filing fees. After analyzing which homeowners within a community have the greatest likelihood of achieving a tax reduction, those homeowners will have the opportunity to engage CAPS directly to seek those tax savings, pursuant to an agreement between CAPS and the individual homeowner. Attached is a resolution that has been utilized by the Winston Park Homeowner Association, and an information sheet, which further describes this process.
